This looks like a great book. I've written a novel that takes place during/after the move back north and judge John Cradlebaugh's occupation of Provo in spring 1858. I'm eager to read this book and see the perspective of the author and how it might add to the rest of the research I've done on Mountain Meadows/Utah war, and the fact that there's a connection made to the civil war is very intriguing.

Thanks for all of this. It's a wonderful resource. I'm working on a long term project involving Elizabeth Pugsley Hayward, who served in the Senate during the 1919 and 1921 sessions and was able to introduce the bill for ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution into the Senate, so it is great to have all these documents available online.

Liane,

It appears you have confused us with Utah State History's Cemetery and Burial Database. Their data is directly from the cemetery so you should work directly with that cemetery to correct information.

The Utah Death Index of certificates begins in 1904 and reflects records created by the Department of Health, Vital Records as explained in the research guides linked in this post.

If you need further help, please contact the Research Center directly.
